Here is my first wool soaker for Piper. I used the hand dyed yarn that we made back before I eas pregrant. It's quite big, so I will need to work the preemie pattern to get one that will fit her when she is a newborn. A soaker is a knit wool cover that goes over a cloth diaper- wool soaks up a large amount of moisture which is why so many people like "soakers" over the cloth diapers.
I learned a few new techniques with this one- kitchener stich for the seamless connection between the flaps on the bottom, and also short rows. I'm working on another one right now, with another batch of hand dyed yarn and some Cascade 220.
