Happy New Year 2008

Happy New Year!

We all hung out in downtown Austin at First Night, watching great parade.  (Isn't that like giving good face, watching good parade?)  Drank fresh spumanti with my parents, coined a new term (prosperis) which means excessive wine intake/excessive $$ earnings, I guess.

What will 2008 bring?  To ask my dogs it will bring fresh soup bones and fudge.  To ask me, it will bring a completed novel, an MBA program, a fountain of white wine sprung forth from the backyard, and a second kiddo.  Not as good as fudge but it'll do.

My fuzzy sweater- finished. This is my first sweater, knit in 7 parts, and it was a pain in my butt. The old Jennifer would have scrapped it back on the first piece after all of the problems I had tracking the stiches...but the new Jennifer was determined to actually finish a project without getting frustrated and irritated and putting it down forever. I modified the pattern (also a first) and made short sleeves instead of long because I appeared to be running out of yarn for the long sleeves. I'm glad I did, because the sleeves wouldn't have been the right length anyway.
I will not be using fuzzy yarn for anything but scraves for a long time...I can not tell you how many times I had to rip multiple rows because I couldn't count rows or stitches with all of the fuzz everywhere. Next up is a scarf for Zack, a sweater for Mar, and a cardigan sweater thing for me.
